Hoe down, Kent Family Center Youth Group, and MOMS Club pulling carrots. VISITORS

In 2006 Colchester Farm CSA hosted a number of events:

  • a Wine Tasting and Sign-up Party March 25th;
  • an Open House May 6th;
  • a Potluck Picnic and Fireworks July 4th;
  • a Hoedown Dance October 14th.
We also hosted a number of groups:
  • MOMS Club of Chestertown;
  • Sabine Harvey’s Girl Scout Troop;
  • Kent Family Center’s youth group;
  • Washington College Academy of Life Long Learning class on Farming on Delmarva;
  • Washington College Student Environmental Alliance;
  • Professor Monika Weiss’s Advanced Drawing Class;
  • Freshman Orientation group from Washington College who had a seminar on farm issues in Kent County; and
  • Tom Hick’s group from Echo Hill Outdoor School.

And on most Fridays, Penni Doyle and her lovely daughters, Meghan and Ruby, as well as other groups of children who enthusiastically planted a children’s garden and built our twig and vine teepee with Nancy Robson and her family.
